Department of Mathematics Education, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Yogyakarta State University, once again held its Webinar Series on Saturday, September 28, 2024. The third edition of this series carried the theme “Innovations in Digital Mathematics Learning”, featuring two speakers: Dr. Kuswari Hernawati, S.Si., M.Kom., and Dr. Muda Nurul Khikmawati, S.Kom., M.Cs.

On Saturday, August 24, 2024, a team of lecturers from the Department of Mathematics Education, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Yogyakarta State University, carried out a community service program for mathematics teachers who are members of the Senior High School Mathematics Teachers’ Association (MGMP Matematika SMA) of Wonogiri Regency, held at SMA Negeri 1 Wonogiri. This activity was a continuation of a previous online session conducted on August 7, 2024.

The Internal Quality Audit (IQA) visitation of Yogyakarta State University (UNY) in 2024 at the Undergraduate Program (S1) of Mathematics Education was conducted online on Saturday, August 31, 2024. The appointed UNY Auditor Team consisted of Dr. Suwarjo, M.Si. (Chair) and Ir. Drs. Jarwopuspito, M.P. (Member).

On Saturday, August 3, 2024, the Indonesian Center for Cognitive Load Review held a symposium entitled “Developing Multimedia Learning Principles and Self-Efficacy in the Perspective of Cognitive Load Theory” at Grand Rohan. The event was successfully conducted and attended by 36 participants consisting of undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students in mathematics education, as well as members of the public with an interest in education and Cognitive Load Theory.

The Practitioner Teaching Program is initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia to better prepare university graduates for the workforce.
