Submitted by admins on Sat, 05/18/2019 - 06:30It began with the B1 and B2 courses in Exact Sciences and Natural Sciences organised by the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Natural Sciences (Fakultas Ilmu Pasti dan Alam/FIPA) at Gadjah Mada University (UGM), which then separated from UGM in 1964 to become the Department of Exact Sciences, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Exact Sciences (Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Eksakta/FKIE) at the Yogyakarta Institute of Teacher Training and Education (IKIP Yogyakarta). In 1978, the Department of Exact Sciences changed its name to the Department of Mathematics Education, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Education (FPMIPA). Along with the transformation of IKIP Yogyakarta into Yogyakarta State University, since 1997 the Department of Mathematics Education, in addition to offering the Mathematics Education Study Programme, has also expanded its mandate to provide the Mathematics Study Programme. Currently, the Mathematics Education Study Programme offers Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate's Degrees.
