Practitioner Teaching Course: Web Design Programming
A number of experienced practitioners in the technology industry are now sharing their knowledge and experience with students through the Practitioner Teaching Program. The Practitioner Teaching Program is initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia to better prepare university graduates for the workforce. This program encourages active collaboration between expert practitioners and champion lecturers to facilitate meaningful exchange of knowledge and expertise among academic communities in universities and professionals in the workforce. This collaboration takes place in courses delivered in both offline and online classrooms. One of the courses in the Mathematics Education Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at UNY participating in this program is web design programming, taught by highly experienced web development practitioner, Mr. Dimas Priyanto, ST. This course lasts for 12 hours, conducted online since May 5, 2024, every Friday and Saturday. In this course, students are guided to understand basic concepts to advanced techniques in developing innovative and responsive web designs. Supported by practitioners who have proven their expertise in the field, students have the opportunity to learn from real-world experiences and gain deep insights into the latest trends in the industry. This collaboration between practitioners and universities provides a foundation for students to develop relevant skills and be prepared to meet the demands of the job market in the future.
