On Friday, October 1, 2021, the management of the Mathematics Department, FMIPA, Surabaya State University visited FMIPA, Yogyakarta State University with the aim of discussing the implementation of cooperation, especially within the framework of Merdeka Belajar - Kampus Merdeka. Mathematics Education Study Programs from both campuses agreed to strengthen collaboration through credit transfer, joint-teaching, joint-research, and joint-publication programs.

The arrival of the team from UNESA was welcomed directly by the Vice Dean 1 FMIPA UNY and the Head of the Mathematics Education Department, Dr. Sri Andayani, accompanied by lecturers of the mathematics education department including Prof. Dr. Sugiman, M.Si, Dr. Hartono, M.Si., Prof. Dr. Agus Maman Abadi, Dr. Jailani and Mrs. Endah Retnawati, Ph.D. In his remarks, the Vice Dean 1 FMIPA UNY strongly supports the collaboration between the Department of Mathematics Education, Yogyakarta State University and Surabaya State University and hopes that it will soon be realized as stated in the cooperation agreement. The activity ended with hospitality, giving mementos between the two parties and handing over the signed MoU. (Tim-Sy)
