The 59th anniversary of UNY has many activities for lecturers, employees, students, and even the general public including school students. One of the series of activities is MIPA EXPO. The activity, which was located in the main yard of FMIPA UNY, took place from May 29 to 31, 2023. A total of 40 booths enlivened this event. MIPA EXPO activity stands are divided into 4 groups consisting of culinary groups, orchids, departments, and also student organizations.

The Mathematics Education Department also took part in filling the stand provided. Learning media, student works, and works of mathematics lecturers were exhibited to the public. Armed with a stand with a size of 4m x 2.5m, the residents of the Mathematics Education Department were able to transform it into a charming exhibition venue that attracted a large number of visitors. Visitors to the Mathematics Education Department stand varied from high school students to doctoral students. Each visitor was entitled to take part in a quiz held every day at a certain time. Various kinds of door prizes were also distributed to visitors who conquered challenges from the Department's Technical Team.

MIPA EXPO activities were enlivened by participants in acoustic, dancing, and vocal competitions which were enough to anesthetize the visitors who came. The MIPA EXPO committee also presented a talk show attended by entrepreneurs, students, and outstanding teachers who voluntarily shared their knowledge and experience with each audience. Until the peak of the event, MIPA EXPO activities have been attended by thousands of visitors. It is possible that MIPA EXPO will be held again more lively next year. (PW)
