Webinar Series #2 with the theme “Mathematics Education Curriculum” ran successfully

The Mathematics Education Study Program FMIPA UNY has successfully held Webinar Series #2 with the theme “Mathematics Education Curriculum” from a series of six webinar series on Saturday, June 04, 2022. The webinar was welcomed by Mrs. Endah Retnowati, Ph.D, with the hope that this series of activities can be attended and intensified in order to jointly contribute to Indonesian education, especially mathematics. Moderated by Mrs. Nila Mareta Murdiyani, M.Sc, the webinar series ran smoothly and enthusiastically. The speakers presented at this webinar were Mr. Aris Feriyanto, S.Pd who is a practitioner / teacher from SMAN 1 Wonosari Yogyakarta and Head of MGMP High School Mathematics Gunung Kidul Regency and Dr. Ali Mahmudi who is a Lecturer / researcher in Mathematics Education UNY as well as the vice dean for student affairs of FMIPA UNY.

The first opportunity was given to Mr. Aris Feriyanto, S.Pd with the topic “Implementation of Merdeka Curriculum in Mathematics Learning at School” which opened about the driving school. Followed by new paradigm learning to how the division of the roles of government and education units in new paradigm learning and how to plan new paradigm assessments.

The second opportunity was given to Dr. Ali Mahmudi with the topic “Inspiration for Mathematics Learning in the Implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum” which discussed the independent learning curriculum, how the essence of the new curriculum innovation and the independent learning curriculum to learning patterns and how to focus on learning mathematics. The activity was very active as seen from several participants who threw questions to the speakers so that the discussion was built.

This activity is carried out virtually through the zoom application and live broadcasts on the youtube, facebook and instagram accounts of UNY mathematics education with the account name math_education_uny. Teachers, students, and lecturers / researchers attended this activity from various affiliations and regions. Hopefully with this series of activities, students to education practitioners can jointly advance Indonesian education.
