Development of an Interactive Educational Website to Enhance the Digital Skills of Junior High School Mathematics Teachers in Bantul Regency

The Community Service (PkM) Team of the Department of Mathematics Education, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Yogyakarta State University (UNY), organized an activity titled “Development of an Interactive Educational Website to Enhance the Digital Skills of Junior High School Mathematics Teachers in Bantul Regency.” This program was attended by junior high school mathematics teachers from across Bantul Regency as an effort to strengthen their digital competencies in supporting 21st-century learning.
The event began with a welcoming speech from the Head of the Bantul Regency Mathematics Teacher Working Group (MGMP), Mr. Ihwan Santosa, S.Pd., who emphasized the importance of teachers continuously adapting to the development of educational technology. The next address was delivered by the Chief Organizer, Dr. Kuswari Hernawati, M.Kom., who highlighted that this activity was expected to provide teachers with practical skills to create interactive, innovative learning media tailored to students’ needs.
The program continued with sessions delivered by several experts, namely:
- Creating media content with LUMI – Ilham Riskianto, M.Sc.
- Developing educational games with Wordwall – Rofi Amiyani, M.Pd.
- Designing interactive worksheets with GeoGebra – Himmawati Puji Lestari, M.Si.
- Building websites with Google Sites – Dr. Kuswari Hernawati, M.Kom.
Through this activity, participating teachers not only gained theoretical insights but also engaged in hands-on practice designing and integrating various digital applications into the learning process. As a result, mathematics learning is expected to become more engaging, accessible, and relevant to the characteristics of today’s digital generation.
