Department of Mathematics Education FMIPA UNY Receives Visit from FKIP of Mathla'ul Anwar University (UNMA) Banten

As an effort to improve academic quality, especially regarding the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Mathlaul Anwar University conducted a series of Field Trips to the Mathematics Education Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) UNY. The UNMA group arrived at UNY on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 12.30 WIB and was immediately welcomed by the Deputy Dean of FMIPA UNY Prof. Jaslin Ikhsan, Ph.D. along with faculty leaders and also by Dr. Sri Andayani, M.Kom as the head of the Mathematics Education Department. The visit was opened by the study program coordinator of Mathematics Education, namely Mrs. Endah Retnowati, Ph.D. 

Prof. Jaslin Ikhsan in his speech expressed his gratitude to FKIP UNMA for choosing FMIPA UNY as one of the Field Trip destinations. The choice of FMIPA UNY is the right choice to exchange ideas and ideas about the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka Curriculum. He hopes that this visit can establish cooperation and friendship between FMIPA UNY and FKIP UNMA.

On the other hand, the Dean of FKIP, Dr. Ika Meika, S.Si., M.Pd, represented by the Vice Dean, Mr. Ade Sudirman, S.Pd., M.Pd., expressed his gratitude to Yogyakarta State University, especially FMIPA UNY and the Department of Mathematics Education for giving a warm welcome to a group of lecturers and students of FKIP UNMA. He hopes that the good relationship that has been created can be improved in the future. The next event was followed by the giving of mementos from FKIP UNMA to FMIPA UNY in this case FKIP UNMA was represented by Dr. Ika Meika, S.Si., M.Pd as dean and FMIPA UNY was represented by Prof. Jaslin Ikhsan, Ph.D. and Prof. Dr. Dadan Rosana M.Si. as vice Dean of FMIPA UNY.

In a separate room, 29 FKIP UNMA Mathematics Education students were welcomed by the Mathematics Education Department Student Association (HIMATIKA). The hospitality event was filled with remarks from each of the head of the association. Both associations hope that this field trip activity can expand the network of student associations and also broaden insights and ideas. The activity continued with a discussion of the development of associations on each campus and introductions between members.

Completing the field trip activities, after the hospitality activities ended, continued with a tour around FMIPA UNY. The visit began with the Deanate, the secretariat of HIMATIKA UNY, and several other supporting facilities such as the digital library FMIPA UNY along with the digital library, the mathematics education microteaching room, and the mathematics computer laboratory room.
