Webinar Series #5 has been successfully held by the Mathematics Education Study Program FMIPA UNY. This webinar was held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 with the topic raised, namely “Mathematics Learning Innovation”. The activity was carried out well and smoothly through the zoom application, youtube streaming and instagram math_education_uny. This webinar series was attended by lecturers, students, and mathematics teachers from various levels and regions. The speakers were attended by Lecturers / researchers in Mathematics Education UNY, namely Dr. Atmini Dhoruri and Practitioners / Teachers of SMPN 1 Sleman Yogyakarta, namely Mrs. Laksmi Indrawati, S.Pd, which was moderated by Mr. Ilham Rizkianto, M.Sc.

The event was opened by Mrs. Endah Retnowati Ph.D who said that innovation is a way to develop or utilize resources so as to provide added value theoretically and practically. The first resource person, Mrs. Dr. Atmini Dhoruri, delivered material on the topic “Mathematics Learning Innovation in the Theoretical Order”, she conveyed the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum, realistic mathematics learning, and showed examples of the process of how realistic mathematics learning can be carried out in the classroom. Furthermore, the second resource person, Mrs. Laksmi Indrawati, S.Pd, delivered material on the topic “Mathematics Learning Innovation at a Practical Level”, she conveyed the Merdeka Curriculum, connected learning with other sciences, STEAM learning, and was followed by a demonstration of lesson plans and LKPD. Therefore, it is hoped that as researchers, practitioners and other educators to be able to continue to innovate by utilizing resources so that they can have an influence on the advancement of technology and science.
