Webinar Series #1 of Mathematics Education Study Program was successfully held, participants are enthusiastically waiting for the next webinar series

The Department of Mathematics Education, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Yogyakarta State University successfully held Webinar Series #1 with the theme Psychology of Mathematics Learning in the Era of the Covid-19 pandemic on Saturday, April 10, 2021 with three presenters, namely Mrs. Endah Retnowati, Ph.D.. with the topic of Sources of Cognitive Load in Online Mathematics Learning, the second presenter Dr. Djamilah Bondan Widjajanti with the topic of Online Mathematics Learning, What if students experience mathematicanxiety? and the third presenter is Mrs. Siti Nurhayati, M.Pd. who is a mathematics practitioner / teacher who raises the topic of Online Mathematics Learning Practices during the Pandemic: Complaints and Lesson Learned.  This seminar was opened directly by the Dean of FMIPA and guided by the moderator Mrs. Dra. Endang Listyani, M.S.

The webinar was held by utilizing the Zoom application and Youtube streaming. Participants who participated amounted to more than 400 participants through zoom and more than 50 participants through youtube who came from almost all parts of Indonesia and even from abroad including Laos. This webinar is expected to accommodate and provide an overview of solutions that can be applied by teachers when implementing online learning, especially in dealing with boredom and mental stress (psychology) of students.  The participants were very enthusiastic and committed to participating in Webinar Series #2 which, God willing, will be held in May 2021. (Tim-Sy)
