Two faculty members of the Department of Mathematics Education, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) Sri Andayani and Wahyu Setyaningrum were officially inaugurated as Full Professors on Wednesday, 24 December 2025. The inauguration ceremony was conducted during an Open Session of the UNY Senate and was live-streamed via the official YouTube channel, @unyofficial.

The ceremony commenced with the singing of the Indonesian national anthem Indonesia Raya and the UNY Hymn, followed by the formal opening of the senate session by the Rector of UNY, Prof. Dr. Sumaryanto, M.Kes., AIFO. Subsequently, the Decree of the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, along with the list of professors inaugurated on that date, was read aloud by Dr. Kristiyono.

On this occasion, both professors delivered their inaugural addresses. Prof. Dr. Sri Andayani, S.Si., M.Kom., presented an address entitled “Data-Driven Decision Making: Integrating Technology and Computer Applications in Decision-Making,” which highlighted the strategic role of data and computational technologies in contemporary decision-making processes. Meanwhile, Prof. Wahyu Setyaningrum, M.Ed., Ph.D., delivered an address entitled “Digital Media in Mathematics Education: Towards the Digitalization of Deep Learning,” emphasizing the importance of digital media innovation in enhancing the quality of mathematics learning in the era of digital transformation.

The inauguration ceremony concluded with the symbolic bestowal of the professorial sash by the Rector of UNY, accompanied by the Chair of the UNY Academic Senate. Through this inauguration, UNY expresses its hope that the scholarly works, ideas, and academic contributions of the newly inaugurated professors will continue to inspire the academic community and generate a meaningful impact on the advancement of science and education in Indonesia.
