The quality of a study program needs to be improved from time to time. Thursday, August 17, 2023, coinciding with the commemoration of Indonesia's independence, the Mathematics Education Study Program of FKIP Sriwijaya University (UNSRI) visited the Mathematics Education Study Program of FMIPA UNY. The spirit of independence accompanied UNSRI's spirit in the benchmarking agenda towards UNY. The discussion which was held since 09:00 WIB was opened directly by Prof. Dr. Ariswan as the Dean of FMIPA UNY. Before welcoming guests from UNSRI, all lecturers and education staff of UNY conducted an independence ceremony at the UNY rectorate field.

The discussion was moderated by Mrs. Endah Retnowati as the study program coordinator of S1 Mathematics Education and led by Prof. Sugiman as the study program coordinator of S2 / S3 Mathematics Education.  The discussion covered accreditation and how the accreditation assessment was conducted. The question and answer session was quite exciting until the time showed 11:00 WIB. After the discussion was sufficient, the UNSRI group visited the microteaching laboratory to the workshop for making learning media. UNSRI alumni who continued their master study at UNY also accompanied the group.
