Visiting Professor with Associate Professor Paul Ginns

UNY has a vision to become a World Class University of Education (UKKD). In connection with this, the S3 Mathematics Education Study Program provides opportunities for students to attend lectures involving speakers from abroad. One form of activity carried out is the inbound visiting professor (VP).

Tuesday, April 11, 2022, Associate Professor Paul Ginns became a speaker at the visiting professor activity in the Mathematics Education master study program. This VP activity is integrated in the Psychology of Learning Mathematics lecture with the lecturer Mrs. Endah Retnowati, Ph. D. VP activities are scheduled for 4 meetings until May 9, 2023.

Associate Prof. Paul Ginns opened the class by explaining the basis of Cognitive Load Theory (CLT) and focusing on human cognitive structures. In addition, he gave an explanation related to evolutionary foundations, as well as the types of cognitive loads that occur in the learning process. This lecture activity was attended by 45 students who looked enthusiastic. VP activities are carried out at 07:30 WIB until 09:00 WIB.
