On Friday, November 16, 2018, KBK Applied Mathematics Department of Mathematics Education FMIPA UNY held a public lecture on Control Theory and its Applications. The resource person was Dr. Noorma Yulia Megawati, M.Sc. Lecturer in Mathematics at Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta. The activity, which was attended by 35 students of the 2015 and 2016 Mathematics study programs, took place in lecture hall d03.101.06.

The speaker explained the basic concepts of control theory which include ordinary differential equations. Furthermore, examples of control theory applications in the spread of disease, airplanes, etc. were given. With this public lecture, it is hoped that students will gain knowledge about control theory and provide provisions for preparing the final thesis on related material.
