The Great Potential of the Digital World for School Education Learning Media

The teaching practitioner program is implemented so that university graduates are better prepared to enter the workforce. This program encourages active collaboration between expert practitioners and lecturers to create a deep and meaningful exchange of knowledge and expertise. This collaboration is carried out in courses delivered in the classroom both offline and online.

The teaching practitioner program in the scope of Mathematics Education FMIPA UNY this time invited a digital media design expert, Alfan Pujo Laksono, to share in the interactive mathematics learning media class. This graduate from ITB introduced students to what digital media can be used in learning. This man from Kalimantan invites every participant to get to know Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, to Mix Reality. The man who is usually called mas Alfan introduced Metaverse at the beginning of the meeting. The technology is quite helpful for students in the learning process. Mas Alfan guides each student in a fun way. Students were given time to follow every step instructed by the practitioner speaker teaching this session.

Students are invited and guided around the world to enter various museums that have been integrated with Augmented Reality. 120 minutes is not long enough for an introduction to the latest world of digital media. A total of 32 Zoom Meeting participants actively followed and asked questions to satisfy their curiosity. The activity was closed on September 20, 2023 at 11:30 WIB.
