Mathematics learning assessment is an evaluation process conducted to measure students' understanding and ability in mathematics materials. Mathematics learning assessment has a very important role in helping to improve the quality of learning, support student development, and ensure the effectiveness of teaching in the educational environment. In order to bridge this, the Mathematics Education Study Program of Yogyakarta State University (UNY) held a webinar series #6 with the theme of Mathematics Learning Assessment.

The event was opened by Mrs. Endah Retnowati Ph.D. She hopes that with the Webinar Series #6, we all become more eye-opening about the importance of assessing mathematics learning. The first speaker, Siti Khoiriyah, M.Pd. delivered material on the topic “Utilization of Diagnostic Assessment in Differentiated Learning”. Differentiated learning activities can be done with audio, visual and kinesthetic learning or combine the three. There are three differentiated learning assessment systems namely Assessment for learning, assessment of learning and assessment as learning.

The first session lasted for 45 minutes. After that, the committee invited participants to take an interactive ice breaking quiz to relax the brain. The participants who attended were very enthusiastic about participating in the interactive quiz guided by the webinar#6 technical team. Not to forget the attractive prizes distributed to five selected participants who answered correctly.

After ice breaking, the second resource person, Dr. Elly Arliani, M.Si. delivered material on the topic “Assessment Before Mathematics Learning to Support Differentiated Mathematics Learning Planning in the Implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum”. This assessment can be done by initial / pre-learning assessment, material mastery assessment, learning style assessment, personality type assessment and learning readiness assessment. The last session was a question and answer session. Unfortunately, time was against the participants' curiosity. The limited time only allowed 2 questions. This activity is carried out virtually through the zoom application and live broadcasts on the youtube and instagram accounts math_education_uny. With this year's Webinar Series, it is hoped that the audience will develop, think and increase their contribution to the development of education in Indonesia at large or education around us.
