Saturday, October 15, 2022, the Mathematics Education Study Program FMIPA UNY continued the implementation of the last webinar in a series of six Webinar Series. The theme of Webinar Series #6 is “Literacy and Numeracy Learning and Assessment” which presents resource persons in their fields. This activity was moderated by Dr. Elly Arliani, M.Si smoothly and superbly. The speakers were attended by Lecturers / researchers in Mathematics Education UNY, namely Prof. Dr. Heri Retnowati, M.Pd, Practitioners / Researchers in Mathematics Education BBGP DI Yogyakarta, namely Dr. Sumaryanto, M.Pd, and Lecturers / Researchers in Mathematics Education UNY, namely Dr. Kana Hidayanti, M.Pd.

The event was welcomed by Mrs. Endah Retnowati Ph.D who said that the existence of Webinar Series #6 was beneficial for all of us to open our eyes more about literacy and improve our own literacy. The first speaker, Prof. Dr. Heri Retnowati, M.Pd, delivered material on the topic “Innovative Learning to Train Literacy and Numeracy Skills”. Furthermore, the second resource person, Mr. Dr. Sumaryanto, M.Pd delivered material on the topic “Integrating Literacy and Numeracy Skills in Assessment”. The last resource person, Mrs. Dr. Kana Hidayanti, M.Pd, delivered material on the topic “Analyzing Students' Abilities and Difficulties in Literacy and Numeracy”.

This webinar was also enlivened by various participants from students, teachers and lecturers from various affiliations. This activity is carried out virtually through the zoom application and live broadcasts on the youtube and instagram math_education_uny accounts. As a closing event for the Webinar Series this year, it is hoped that we will all develop, think about and increase our contribution to the development of education in Indonesia at large or education around us.
