After a two-year vacuum due to the pandemic, Yogyakarta State University is once again organizing the Campus Ambassador election. The selection of UNY Campus Ambassador Year 2022 is expected to be the new face of UNY who has integrity, talent, and noble behavior. This year's UNY Campus Ambassador has the theme “Smart and Talented Generation as Campus Ambassador with High Integrity” which is expected to improve the quality of UNY students' achievements and cultural arts so that they can represent UNY students at the university, regional, national, and even international levels.

Intan Pratidina Purnamasari or often called Intan is one of the students of the Mathematics Education study program class of 2019 who had the opportunity to become a finalist in the 2022 UNY Campus Ambassador Selection event. According to Intan, this is her first time participating in embassy activities. “I have never participated in an ambassador election, pageant, or the like. This is my first experience and there are so many new things that I learned through this activity,” she said.

Intan stated that there were several stages that she had to pass so that she could become a finalist for UNY Campus Ambassador 2022. “The initial selection was administrative selection where at that time I was a delegate from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. The next selection was a written test with material about UNY, Jogja culture, general knowledge, and psychological tests held online. After passing the written test, I had to pass the interview and talent show selection which happened to be held offline at the IKA UNY Building. In the end, I managed to become a finalist for UNY Campus Ambassador 2022,” she continued.

Even though she has become a finalist, Intan must follow several debriefing activities to prepare for the Grand Final of UNY Campus Ambassador 2022 which will be held at the UNY Auditorium on June 1. The debriefing that she attended included modeling class, material about organization and public speaking, attitude class, personal branding material, and beauty class.

Intan hopes that her joining UNY Campus Ambassador 2022 can bring her to synergize with Yogyakarta State University in achieving UNY's vision and mission, introducing her beloved campus to a wider audience, and participating in achieving the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. (aly)
